Contestants Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart onstage at the American Idol Season 10 Top 11 to 10 elimination show, March 24, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
The "American Idol" dreams of two contestants ended Thursday night. Dance instructor Naima Adedapo and 16-year-old Thia Megia were ousted after they received the least number of votes following Wednesday's Elton John song theme night. Adedapo's reggae version of "I'm Still Standing" and Megia's "Daniel" wasn't enough to save the aspiring singers from the double elimination. But for others on the show, "Idol" still has plenty to offer, and not just in terms of a singing career -- some are finding love on the show's set. "Trust me, there's been hookups," Simon Cowell insisted in 2004. "They don't talk about it, but it happens. Of course it happens. What do you think? We've got 12 kids living in the same house. Come on."
This year, finalists Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart, both 20, are said to be having an off-screen romance, according to In Touch magazine and other reports. "Most of their downtime is spent together and they have a very touchy-feely relationship," an "Idol" insider told In Touch. "They're always lying on each other when they're around the other contestants and everybody thinks they're hooking up." Abrams could use some TLC. He suffers from ulcerative colitis and missed an "Idol" show after being taken to the hospital for a blood transfusion. Last week, he seemed on the verge of breaking down after judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson saved him from elimination.
