Danny Gokey got Married!

Season 8’s third place finalist, Danny Gokey, was married this past Sunday in Florida to fiancé Leyicet Peralta. It was only announced that the two were engaged on Christmas day. Get details about his engagement here.

According to People.com, the couple was wed in an intimate ceremony with a theme of “romance and love” and only had about 100 guests. The couple said, “We wanted a smaller more intimate wedding of just friends and family”. Danny tweeted about his nuptials today: “Best. Wedding. Plank. Ever!!!

Kellie released her third album, 100 Proof, on Tuesday. She said, “I’m so excited and happy it’s finally out. I worked so hard on it. I’ve never poured myself into something like I have with this album. It’s been three and a half years since my last album, and a lot has happened in my life since then. I’m so proud of it. I worked with Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten who co-produced the album. I love the sound of the album. We brought in the most incredible musicians that exist. They played on some of my favorite artists’ records.”

Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert celebrated his big 30th birthday yesterday! Last year, Adam and his fans raised $323,803 to bring clean water to over 16,000 people. How does he plan to top that? Yesterday he tweeted, “Today is my birthday, and for my 30th I’d like you all to help me change the world…Let’s use birthdays to raise $1 million this year for charitywater 100% directly funds water projects.

This year is shaping up to be a huge one for the superstar. He is set to release his highly anticipated sophomore album, Trespassing, on March 20th. The debut single off the album, “Better Than I Know Myself,” was released December 20th and hit mainstream radio last week! The track debuted at #76 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 7th. Ten days later, Adam performed BTIKM on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The music video for “Better Than I Know Myself” will premiere this Friday, February 3.
